Nyåkers gingerbread gives you the taste of tradition

When so much changes around us, it's nice that some things can stay the same. At Nyåkers we still bake our gingerbread according to the delicious original recipe from 1952. Seasoned with stubbornness that is a hallmark of the region and the commitment of our employees.

Nyåkers is the Test winner

Year after year Nyåker's gingerbread wins the big consumer tests. The explanation lays in the secret recipe from 1952, and that we still bake gingerbread with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail. We mix the spices by hand and punch the cakes with large rolls of bronze. The result is a gingerbread as close to homemade as you can get.

In the hinterland of Norrland, miles from the nearest larger community, lies Nyåker. There are endless gravel roads and pine forests and marshes. It is home to a little over a hundred inhabitants. And here, gingersnaps are baked that year after year wins prizes and is sold in both Tokyo and New York City.
